Dear friends,

I’ve been deeply immersed in a project that I’m excited to share with you — an album recorded with my friend, Ravi Kulur — flutist extraordinaire!

Ravi and I met over two decades ago while touring with Bharat Ratna Ravi Shankar-ji and his brilliant daughter, Anoushka. Over the years, we often talked about making music together — blending East and West — and just seeing where that might lead, simply because we love playing music together.
Now, I think we’ve created something truly new: Raga-based pieces and some Irish melodies with a Western string ensemble (providing a lush emotional bed) and the fabulous tabla playing of Bickram Ghosh!

The result?
Breath and Bow — a collision of cultures, a celebration of tradition and innovation, and heartfelt music that I’m proud to be a part of.
The album releases June 16, 2025, on Bandcamp, Spotify, and all the usual digital platforms.
